Hulangala Mini World's End

Situated between the districts Mathale and Kurunegala Hulangala Mini World's end marks the border between North Western and Central Provinces. With a easy hike or even being accessible by bikes and off road vehicles the place gives you excellent panoramic views. Hulangala view point is famous for camping has basic amnesties for camping. 

How to reach

Reaching the place is relatively eazy, simply take the Selagama Road at Yatawatta Junction from Thalagodapitiya - Yatawatta - Dombawela Road and turn left to Selagama Estate after traveling about 2 km on Selagama Road. Using the location for Hulangala Mini Worlds end entrance point is in Google Maps directed us accurately to the point. Entrance tickets was 100 per person and there is a separate charge for camping.




From Entrance to the Viewpoint 

From the entrance to view point the road is not in a good condition, only bikes and some off road vehicles can make the ascend. Walking is not difficult with ample photo breaks and rests it only took us one hour to walk to the point. There were three-wheelers providing services to drop off at the view point but bit expensive. 



Route is quite scenic there were few creeks on the way and you can experience beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the tea plantations while ascending. 









Yatawatta Biso Ella is a notable point of interest in the vicinity and is a short walk from the Selagama Tamil  Maha Vidyalaya.

Calvary Shrine of hiniduma is a very famous church in Galle District. Administered under the Galle diocese it is a holy place for Sri Lankan Catholics. The Shrine is a replica of Calvary mount, Jerusalem where crucifixion of Jesus took place. Elamaldeniya Raja Maha Viharaya - Pitabeddara

This is a famous cave temple in Pitabeddara area of Southern Province. The temple is blessed with a scenic environment. Temple and the dewalaya dedicated to Getambaruwa Rajjuru Bandara God is very famous among the locals while most visit the Devalaya alone. The temple is a cave temple situated in a small hillock.  Entrance to the temple contains a dageba and a small bodhi tree and some steps slopes down to a creek flowing between two hills. Another set of steep steps commence from the creek and leads to the cave temple, the Dageba and the Devalaya. How to Reach. Can be easily reached by taking the Pasgoda road from Pitabeddara town. Patna View Point Deniyaya- Burusgala

Patna View Point aka Burusgala as locals call it is a natural formation in Gin River that resembles a slide. Situated close to Deniyaya town just outside of Sinharaja Rain forest this site attracts many tourists specially on weekends and public holidays. Burusgala is situated in Patna Tea estate and road to Patna View Point is bit tough. You have to walk along tea bushes and climb down upto the place. But it's an enjoyable walk with beautiful scenery. How to Reach You can reach patna view point by taking Enasalwatte Road from Deniyaya. You will have to walk from Patna tea factory.
